Health Safety:

Health and safety, how we live, work and play, every aspect of our life is

connected to the environment, which influences everything we do.

This world belongs to us and we realize that we must take good care of it.

Being an attentive observer will help us to preserve nature, and enjoy it.

We cannot be happy without nature as we are a part of it, thus we should

always consider all dos and donts before we introduce new things to this

world, whether it is a device, an insecticide, or a cosmetic.

Well planned educational trips let the public see the world, but it must be

assured that the natural environment is preserved. All sprays, powders and

aerosols that people might want to bring with them, whether for personal

use or as household products, can in effect also bring environmental

contamination.

During million years, migration of insects to new territories has lead to

creating new species. Now, the process is being helped and encouraged

by man through the importation of plants. This causes huge problems as

insects that came with those plants can easily reach enormous numbers in

population on new territories. That happens because none of their natural

enemies are present there.

Many of our actions introduce new, unknown by nature, compounds into

our environment. These new chemicals accumulate in the living tissue

of plants and animals, and even interact with the genetic material

of cells. This could lead to gene mutations and consequently to different

life forms on earth.

For years, smaller and smaller devices have been built. We should ask

what could happen to us, in what way at the end we shall be influenced

by all those new things that we ourselves have introduced.

Would man be, in the process, empowered or ruined as the result?

Would small animals be ignored or even endangered?

For a long time technology has brought problems to our environment.

Fuel exhaustion from cars and industrial plants has caused the thinning of

the ozone layer which sooner or later would lead to burning of life forms

by the Sun’s harmful ultraviolet rays.

Destroying the rainforests and other trees would kill all living forms, as

without plants we can not exist.

We all have been exposed, together with our environment, to new

compounds without being biologically prepared for them. Man only wanted

to control a few insects and plants with sprays, dusts, and aerosols.

Now, we are on the way to destroying birds, fish and plants, and to

contaminating the soil for a long time, if not forever. As the strongest

species develop immunological defenses against chemicals, they then

require stronger insecticides.

There is urgent need to return to natural balance of our world, to stop the

disproportional escalation of number of invasive insects and plants, and to

stop administering new compounds to the environment.
